Summer 2015: Northern Exposure

This was my favorite trip of the summer by far - flew into Burlington, VT and drove up to Montreal. I'd never been to either place and they were both dreamy in different ways.  Burlington is my small town fantasy come to life. Montreal is like Chicago, Paris and Portland having a threesome and creating the most beautiful Super City child. Sadly, it poured the whole time we were there, so we will just have to go back and enjoy the outdoors of the city another time. Darn.

Hill Farmstead Brewing. Arthur is my perfect beer, which we enjoyed on the shores of Lake Champlain.

Summer 2015: Washington D.C.

Believe it or not, I had never visited our nations capital until a few weeks ago.  I'd love to go back sometime when it's not hot as balls.  It was also my first time traveling with my mom in nearly a decade! We had a blast taking in sights around the city, and taking in the delicious food at Rose's Luxury.

The red, white and blue theme was totally accidental. Patriotism must be in the water or something in that town...

Summer 2015 Variety Pack

Holy hiatus! I can't believe I've gone so long without a post. Embarrassing.

I'll use all the galavanting around I've done this summer as an excuse - Chicago, Indiana, Tennessee, Atlanta, D.C., Vermont, and Montreal.   Here are a few from the first 4 locales:

Paris, TN

The site of Patsy Cline's plane crash in Camden, TN.
It was nice to pay our respects to one of our favorite singers.

Lula Cafe, Chicago

who needs milk when all your food is orange?

Yes, they still have record stores. And yes, they still smell like incense.
